The editor has had a fresh coat of paint and now features a new disaster recovery mode that lets you know if there’s a newer autosave available, so you’ll never find yourself losing content due to a failed save attempt.
Shiny Updates
A brand new features, Shiny Updates have been included to make updates even easier than ever before. All you need to do is select the Shiny Updates button and everything’s handled for you – no need for a page redirect or annoying popups. Updating has never been so simple – so there’s no excuse not to be fully updated at all times!
Native Fonts
Native fonts in the Admin have been included to boost load times, remove third-party dependency and continue to blur the lines between mobile web and native applications.
There have also been numerous changes for developers to play with, including new WP_Site_Query and WP_Network_Query classes, a new PHP library for HTTP requests that supports parallel requests and a higher priority for translations.
