Last week WordPress, the open source project that now powers 28% of the web, turned 15 years old.
A post on Matt Mullenweg’s blog kicked off the project that eventually grew to become the WordPress we know and love. Back in 2003 he posted about ‘The Blogging Software Dilemma‘ and it sparked a discussion in the comments that’s fascinating to look back on now. Most notable is Mike Little’s top comment, which really got the ball rolling on the project.
