It’s been quite the year for WordPress hosts (and AWESEM partner!) WP Engine, as they’ve gone from strength to strength and are receiving due recognition for their high level of service and customer satisfaction.
In August this year they surpassed a whopping 70,000 customers, which helped them achieve 42% year on year customer growth in the last year. In the same month they were announced Company of the Year (in the Computer Services – Large category) at the 14th Annual International Business Awards.
As if that wasn’t enough, they were also named the Best Place to Work by the Austin Business Journal (making it four years in a row) and Heather Brunner (CEO) and Jason Cohen (Founder, CTO) won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in Central Texas.
WP Engine have achieved one more honour in recent months: being ranked 45th in Fortune’s list of top workplaces in the medium-sized business category. In a recent blog post announcing the award, CPO Annette Alexander had the following to say about the brand’s efforts to create a diverse workplace:
“At WP Engine, we’ve worked very hard to hire and empower a diverse team. We’ve put a lot of thought into creating a culture where all of our employees feel valued, respected, and engaged. Diversity and inclusion doesn’t just happen on its own. It takes intention, planning, and commitment.” – Annette Alexander, CPO
A huge congratulations to all of the team at WP Engine for all of their achievements throughout 2017 – and there have been many! At AWESEM we’re proud to work alongside brands like WP Engine who work tirelessly every day to deliver customers a first class WordPress experience, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2018.
